
Hilawe Lakew is a highly experienced energy engineer and environmental analyst with over three decades of expertise in industrial, household, and rural energy program planning and development. His work focuses on energy efficiency and the harnessing and utilization of alternative energy resources, including solar, wind, micro-hydro, and biomass technologies. Hilawe is recognized for his significant contributions to energy policy formulation, planning, and management, as well as his role in leading teams on various energy and development projects.
He has a strong background in planning, monitoring, reporting, and evaluating clean energy technologies and programs. His extensive experience includes the management and coordination of local and international projects related to rural and urban energy development, marketing and commercialization of innovations, and assessing the social and environmental impacts of energy projects. Additionally, Hilawe has successfully organized and executed numerous training sessions, seminars, and workshops on various energy-related topics.
