የ12ኛ ክፍል ብሔራዊ ፈተና ውጤት ላይ የትምህርት ሚኒስቴር የሰጠው ሙሉ መግለጫ

Feb. 1, 2023Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Professor Birhanu Nega was elected Minister of Education in 2014. According to a statement issued in Addis Abeba regarding the results of the 12th grade exit exam, more than half of the total students who sat for the exam scored less than 4%.

The minister called the results "surprising," noting that only about 30 thousand of the over 980 thousand students who took the test scored higher than 50 percent.

It should be noted that the students took the exam for the first time in higher education institutions in accordance with the Ministry of Education's plan to eliminate the old pattern of exam theft that occurs frequently in national exams.

In addition, unlike the previous exam, students of natural science and social science took the exam at separate times.

According to the minister, there was no theft during the exam on Thursday, January 18, 2015, thanks to the new system that was put in place. He emphasised that the results announced only include students who were expelled based on the system, not Korju students who took the exam.

According to reports, 985,384 students registered to take the exam, and 896,520 students received results.

Of these, 77,098 were not registered for the exam, and 20,170 were present but "were prevented from taking the exam due to various rule violations and left the exam."

It should be noted that 12 thousand Amhara students chose not to take the exam for a variety of reasons.
