Ato Sisay Abebe, class of 1964, died on January 23, 2023, in Malawi. Sisay was born on November 22, 1946. He was an extremely active and dedicated individual in all that he did. He graduated from Haremaya University with a major in agriculture, spent several years working for World Vision in Addis Abeba, and was then transferred to Malawi.

He worked for World Vision in Malawi for many years before leaving to start his own farm. He taught local farmers on irrigation, fishing ponds, beekeeping, raising chickens and other domestic animals, and participating in the local food for work program.
